Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac TelemetryA rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a Cardiac Telemetry unit. This role requires expertise in managing patients with a variety of cardiac diagnoses and post-operative care.ResponsibilitiesProvide care for patients diagnosed with conditions such as Atrial Fibrillation, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), and Coronary Artery Disease (CAD).Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, post-myocardial infarction (MI) care, and pre/post cardiac catheterization.Perform sheath removal and manage cardiac drips, both titrated and non-titrated.Assist with external CPAP/BIPAP, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management.Support various special procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, and post-cardiac surgeries.Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.Participate in storm and hurricane response teams as required during catastrophic events.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience on a cardiac floor is required.Traveler experience is necessary unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.NIHSS certification is required.Preferred certifications include experience with arterial line management and wound care.Shift and ScheduleNight shifts only, 36 hours per week.Scheduling includes a minimum of 4 weekends in a 4-week period with flexibility.Contract lengths range from 13 to 26 weeks.Patient RatiosPatient ratios vary according to acuity, with a typical ratio of 1:4 for surgical step-down and 1:5-6 for lower acuity patients.Unit OrientationA comprehensive orientation period of 24 hours is provided for all new hires.Uniform RequirementsScrubs must be navy blue.Interview ProcessAll candidates will be required to pass an EKG test prior to starting.
