Assistant Restaurant Leader We are seeking an Assistant Restaurant Leader to support the Restaurant Leader in day‑to‑day operations at RaisingCane’s Chicken Fingers® in East Lansing, Michigan. Job Description The Assistant Restaurant Leader helps ensure smooth restaurant operations, upholds RaisingCane’s standards and culture, and supports the Restaurant Leader in all aspects of management. Responsibilities Hire and terminate hourly, non‑management crew members. Own the onboarding, status change and payroll process for all hourly crew. Create crew work and training schedules. Manage performance of all hourly crew (development, coaching, documentation, performance management). Act as manager on duty and open and close the restaurant. Manage cash handling and ensure accountability. Enforce RaisingCane’s policies and standards. Execute shift‑management meetings and enforce operational and safety standards. Use required tools, forms and logs to support shift execution, document results and take corrective action. Deploy crew during a shift. Provide exemplary customer service. Utilize the reward and recognition program for crew. Authorize employee functions requiring manager approval (discounts, promotions, time‑clock overrides, etc.). Ensure cleanliness and maintain facility in good working order. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may change constantly. Self‑driven, flexible, highly energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to recognize and analyze problems, set goals, create plans and convert plans into action to solve problems. Proficient in technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quick learner of new systems. Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and travel as needed for work‑related functions and training. Must have at least 3years of restaurant or retail management experience. Experience with opening a new restaurant preferred. Must be 18years of age or older.
