Overnight Guest Services
The Shoreline Hotel – Lake Minnetonka
Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay: $18-$22.00 per hour
The Shoreline Hotel is looking for a dependable, professional Overnight Guest Services team member to care for our hotel and guests during the overnight hours.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working independently, has excellent judgment, and understands that overnight hospitality is about creating a safe, quiet, welcoming environment while being available when guests need assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide overnight coverage for the hotel from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
- Assist guests with questions, requests, concerns, and overnight needs.
- Handle late arrivals and guest check-ins as needed.
- Monitor the property throughout the night and help maintain a safe, secure environment.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of guest and common areas.
- Respond promptly and professionally to noise complaints or other guest concerns.
- Monitor hotel phones and respond to guest calls and messages.
- Address minor guest issues when possible and escalate emergencies or significant concerns to management.
- Document overnight incidents, guest concerns, maintenance issues, and anything requiring follow-up by the morning team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
- Complete assigned overnight administrative tasks and prepare information needed for the morning shift.
- Communicate clearly with the incoming team regarding anything that occurred overnight.
- Follow hotel policies, emergency procedures, and guest privacy standards.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Dependable and punctual — overnight coverage requires someone we can count on.
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
- Friendly, professional, and calm when interacting with guests.
- Able to use good judgment and problem-solve without needing constant direction.
- Comfortable using computers and learning hotel systems.
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately document overnight activity.
- Able to remain alert and responsive throughout the entire shift.
- Comfortable handling unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
- Respectful of guest privacy and confidentiality.
Previous hotel, hospitality, front desk, security, or customer-service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
Pay: $18-$22.00/hour
Because this person is responsible for the hotel during overnight hours, reliability and good judgment are essential.
The Shoreline Hotel is a boutique hotel on Lake Minnetonka focused on providing guests with a warm, personal hospitality experience. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their shift, enjoys helping people, and can confidently be the overnight presence our guests can rely on.
