Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianThe Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy support services to clinical research participants under the supervision of the Pharm D and the Principal Investigator. This role ensures investigational products (IP) are prepared, labeled, dispensed, and documented accurately, while collaborating closely with clinical research coordinators, laboratory staff, and other site personnel to support protocol compliance and study timelines.Duties and Responsibilities:Receive, review, and verify prescription orders from the Principal Investigator to ensure study validity.Prepare and dispense medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and study protocols.Support pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and labeling investigational products.Assist clinical research staff by addressing inquiries and referring complex issues to the Principal Investigator or Pharmacist as needed.Maintain accurate pharmacy inventory records to support smooth clinical trial operations.Ensure a sterile and compliant environment for medication preparation and dispensing.Follow security measures and quality control protocols to maintain the integrity of investigational products.Meet all study protocol requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.Adhere to all company policies, protocols, and regulatory compliance standards to maintain confidentiality and integrity.Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of clinical research operations.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred.Certified Medical Assistant preferred.Prior experience in a pharmacy, clinical research, or healthcare setting is highly desirable.Knowledge of pharmacy information systems, prescription processing, and regulatory guidelines related to investigational products.Working knowledge of pharmacy information systems.Location: Monday – Friday.
