Veeva Technical Architect – Veeva PromoMatsLead the architecture, design, implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise-scale Veeva Vault PromoMats solutions. Provide technical leadership for global Life Sciences, pharmaceutical, and biotech organizations. Act as the technical authority across business stakeholders, delivery teams, validation teams, and integration partners. Drive technical strategy, governance, best practices, and scalable compliant PromoMats solutions. Work in a client-facing environment and lead complex digital content and Medical, Legal & Regulatory (MLR) review ecosystems.Solution Architecture & Technical LeadershipLead end-to-end architecture and technical solutioning for: Veeva Vault PromoMats implementations, Enhancements, Migrations, Support initiatives.Design scalable, compliant, and high-performance PromoMats solutions.Define enterprise architecture standards and integration strategies.Establish governance frameworks and implementation best practices.Provide technical leadership for: Digital Asset Management (DAM), MLR Review Process, Claims Management, Content Lifecycle Management, Modular Content, Renditions and Distribution, eTMF/Quality integrations.Architect multi-country and global promotional content management solutions.Veeva Vault Configuration & DevelopmentLead advanced Veeva Vault configuration, including: Object model design, Document lifecycle configuration, Workflow configuration, Security model setup, Role-based access controls, SDK/API-based extensions, Validation rules, Notifications and automation.Provide architectural guidance on: Vault Java SDK, REST APIs, VQL, Vault Loader, Custom integrations.Evaluate technical limitations and recommend scalable alternatives.Integration ArchitectureArchitect integrations between Veeva PromoMats and: Salesforce CRM, Adobe Experience Manager, Content Management Systems, Regulatory systems, Identity and Access Management tools.Design secure and scalable API integration frameworks.Ensure robust data governance, synchronization, and audit readiness.Compliance & ValidationEnsure solutions comply with: GxP, FDA regulations, CSV/CSA standards, Pharmaceutical promotional review requirements.Support validation documentation and audit readiness.Collaborate with QA and compliance teams during validation cycles.Stakeholder & Delivery ManagementPartner with: Business stakeholders, MLR teams, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing Operations, IT leadership.Define strategic roadmaps.Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and solution demonstrations.Mentor developers, administrators, and junior architects.Provide effort estimation, technical planning, risk mitigation, and delivery governance.Support pre-sales activities, solution proposals, and architecture presentations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Related field.15+ years of IT experience.10+ years of experience with Veeva Vault technologies.7+ years of deep hands-on Veeva Vault PromoMats experience.Strong expertise in: Veeva Vault Architecture, PromoMats Implementation, Vault Configuration and Customization, DAM, MLR Workflows, Vault APIs, Vault SDK.Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations.Strong understanding of Life Sciences regulatory and compliance environments.Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work onsite with cross-functional business and technical teams in the US.Preferred QualificationsVeeva Vault certifications — highly preferred.Experience with: Veeva MedComms, Veeva CRM, Vault Quality, Vault RIM, Commercial Content Ecosystems.Experience with cloud platforms and middleware technologies.Exposure to: DevOps, CI/CD, Automated deployment, Release governance.Knowledge of AI-enabled content review or digital content operations.Experience working with large global pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.Mandatory Technical SkillsVeeva Vault PromoMatsVeeva Vault PlatformVault ConfigurationVQLVault Java SDKREST APIsWorkflow DesignDigital Asset Management (DAM)MLR Review ProcessGxP CompliancePreferred Technical SkillsSalesforce IntegrationSSO / SAML / OAuthCI/CD PipelinesValidation DocumentationAgile / ScrumJira / ConfluenceSoft SkillsStrong architectural and analytical thinking.Executive-level communication skills.Client-facing consulting experience.Leadership and mentoring capabilities.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments.Success CriteriaDrive scalable and compliant PromoMats architecture solutions.Improve MLR efficiency and content lifecycle management.Reduce operational and compliance risks.Lead successful global implementations and integrations.Establish technical best practices and governance standards.Nice-to-Have Industry ExperiencePharmaceuticalBiotechnologyMedical DevicesLife Sciences Commercial OperationsHealthcare Compliance PlatformsInterview Focus AreasEnd-to-end Veeva PromoMats architecture experience.Real-world MLR workflow implementation examples.Integration architecture patterns.Vault deployment and migration strategies.Compliance and validation experience.Leadership in enterprise-scale implementations.Experience with Generative AI / AI-enabled content review.
