Behavioral Consultant Our services are designed to be holistic, geographically accessible, culturally sensitive, and coordinated with other related service systems, both formal and informal. Community Council has a long history of providing mental health services to Philadelphia residents and is one of the City of Philadelphia's original 12 Base Service Units. We provide a range of mental health and substance abuse direct services and case management. Job Description The Behavior Consultant, in collaboration with other treatment team members, develops and implements behavior modification intervention plans which are individualized to each child or adolescent according to their treatment needs. The Consultant identifies behavioral goals and intervention strategies and recommends non-aversive behavioral change methods. The Consultant typically serves as consultant to the treatment team, including the Mobile Therapist and Behavioral Health Technicians as well as the client and the client’s natural supports. Maintain contact with external supports including home, school and community supports; attend evaluations, team meetings and school meetings as necessary on behalf of the child or adolescent. Implement behavioral, de-escalation, and safety plans designed to teach and maintain socially significant behaviors. Develop treatment plans, IBHS assessments, FBA assessments, and other assessments. Develop data collection tools and collect data on behaviors (for both replacement/target behaviors). Complete progress notes, monthly summaries, and other assessments for the development, tracking and maintenance of treatment needs. Monitor the progress, consistency, and regression of target behaviors. Collaborate and meet with home, school, community, and clinical supports for the client. Provide clinical consultation for the treatment team, consumer, and their families. Provide supervision for BHTs weekly. Complete required documentation for billing purposes including timesheets, encounter forms, etc. Initiate and oversee titration of services and discharge. Attend mandatory group and individual supervision monthly. Position Requirements Experience & Qualifications Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Degree (must be from an accredited college or university). License LBC (required to work with individuals requiring ABA supports). 1–3 years of experience.
