Job Title

Certified Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8s, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM | On-call required (approximately 6 weekday call shifts and 2 weekend call rotations); no regular weekend shift requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in on a broad range of surgical procedures across general, neuro, orthopedic, vascular, and transplant services within a large multi-room operating room environment
• Support adult and geriatric patient populations throughout the perioperative process
• Float within scope to other like units as needed to meet facility demands
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekday and weekend call shifts
• Document accurately using the facility's Cerner electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• National Surgical Technologist certification required (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted; NBSTSA specifically preferred)
• Valid state license or certification required at time of submission
• Experience scrubbing total joint procedures, neuro, transplant, vascular, and general surgery cases required
• Local candidates are welcome; a local rate differential applies. Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• General surgery experience including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic cases, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures
• Neuro experience including ALIF, cervical fusion, craniotomy, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, and lumbar fusion
• Vascular experience including carotid angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
• Transplant experience including heart, kidney, liver, lung, and organ-donation procedures
