The ideal person for this position has a dynamic personality and is passionate about sales and marketing. To succeed in this role, candidate should be goal-driven and have strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

• In-Person Fundraising: Represent our non-profit client at retail locations, shopping centers, events, and other public spaces to engage with potential donors and encourage contributions.
• Brand Representation: Be the voice and face of the organization, promoting our values, mission, and impact through meaningful interactions.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential supporters, answering questions and providing information about the organization’s work and impact.
• Event Activation: Assist with organizing and setting up fundraising events or activations in retail spaces or community events.
• Educational Outreach: Clearly explain the non-profit’s mission, goals, and the ways in which donors' contributions make a difference.
• Donor Engagement: Capture donations while ensuring a positive experience for supporters.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of your interactions with potential donors, including tracking donations and following up with prospects when necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the fundraising team to ensure consistent messaging and share insights on donor interactions and engagement strategies.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Business or a related field required
• 1-3 years of related experience in business, promotional sales, customer service or a related field preferred (nice to have, not required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Passionate about social causes and fundraising for non-profit organizations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
• Experience in sales, fundraising, customer service, or related fields is a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet fundraising goals.
• Comfortable working in public settings, including retail environments and busy events.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable personality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Previous experience in brand ambassadorship, retail, or promotions is a bonus but not required.
