Behavioral Health Consultant (LICSW)

Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The salary range for this position is $95,160.00 to $100,638.72 and may be commensurate with experience. Behavioral Health Consultant Required : Master's Degree in Social Work; LICSW 3-5 years of experience providing services in addiction treatment and mental health; experience providing services to underprivileged populations. Required License/Certification : LICSW by the District of Columbia Department of Health; CPR/First Aid certified Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours per week); Hybrid/telework eligibility of 1 day/week after 6 months of successful integration into the role, with productivity requirements being met. Expected Contributions: Conduct assessments and brief interventions for behavioral health conditions in primary care in accordance with the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) Model Accept same-day referrals from medical providers Utilize evidence‑based interventions to assist clients in creating behavior change plans Follow up with patients when appropriate, or recommend follow‑up with PCP Train new medical providers on the use of the PCBH model Coordinate and communicate with medical staff regarding patient care Document, track, and report on BHC interventions, including pre- and post‑measures of patient wellness whenever possible Provide training and supervision to interns in the PCBH model as assigned; provide clinical supervision to social work interns and LGSWs if eligible Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues Experience with or ability to learn brief interventions for behavioral issues in primary care Ability to work in a fast‑paced primary care environment Ability to communicate with diverse audiences Problem‑solving skills Reports to: SVP, Federally Qualified Health Centers Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive.
