This 16-week travel nurse assignment offers the opportunity to support a busy birth center team while enjoying the Pacific Northwest and all that Tacoma has to offer. Job Details Setting: Labor & Delivery / Birth Center / Women’s Health Unit Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) assignment Duration: 16 weeks Start Date: September 21, 2026 Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights Schedule: Every other weekend rotation; schedule built in 6-week increments Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520 - $2,650 Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required; previous travel nursing experience preferred Strong background in high-acuity obstetric and maternal-fetal care Current BLS certification NRP certification Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certification EPIC experience required Ability to manage labor, delivery, triage, postpartum, and recovery workflows confidently Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving clinical environment Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients Care for high-acuity obstetric patients, including those with hypertension, preterm labor, C-sections, inductions, and multiple births Perform triage, cervical checks, and interpretation of fetal monitoring strips Assist with circulating in the OR and supporting cesarean section deliveries Support newborn transition and recovery after vaginal and cesarean births as needed Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote excellent patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit-specific protocols and standards Contribute to a positive team environment while adapting to changing patient needs in a high-volume labor and delivery unit Apply now to join a rewarding Tacoma healthcare job and make an impact in Labor & Delivery nursing today.
