Cub Cambridge is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Grocery Manager position! The Grocery Manager is responsible to plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates.

Compensation:
UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Cub Cambridge is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Grocery Manager position! The Grocery Manager is responsible to plan and manage the Grocery Department to promote sales and achieve profit margins and labor goals; ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
- Develops effective daily/weekly work plans based on weekly sales projections, budgeted labor goals and previous operating results
- Implements and maintains coordinated, aggressive and creative merchandising plans, using Division guidelines, which maximize sales, variety and gross profit
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department
- Supervises Grocery associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives
- Manages Grocery receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control and inventory to ensure proper product control and that gross profit goals are met
- Trains and develops grocery department personnel
- Supervises department safety and sanitation programs
Job Requirements:
- Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Memorization, reading, writing and math
- The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service
- Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
- Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
- Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
- Walking on uneven ground
- Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
Schedule:
- Open availability is required
- At least one evening shift is required between Friday to Sunday
