Description of the Job Functions the Contractor Will Be Expected to Perform

The Cybersecurity Manager will work with technical staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure security of the Agencies networks and services from threats such as Data Breaches, Phishing, Malware, etc. Will work closely with the Lead Network Specialist, Support Services Director and Chief Information Officer to provide incident reporting and provide overall situational awareness to Agency leadership and staff.

Qualified candidates will lead work collaboratively with the Lead Network Specialist, Support Services Director, and Chief Information Officer in leading the strategy to defend the network and critical systems at the boundary, midpoint, and endpoint to ensure a strong security posture and compliance with all security policies. This includes performing cyber threat analysis, network traffic analysis, and being active in cyber threat response and mitigation efforts. In addition, the qualified candidate will lead the efforts on the effective tuning of defensive capabilities to inform effective and durable countermeasures.

The CSM will also be responsible for the development and maintaining of all MIS Cybersecurity Policies and Procedures.

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• 5+ years of relevant Cybersecurity and IT experience
• Demonstrate experience providing strategic SME support in Cybersecurity
• Ability to write and verbally communicate cybersecurity and risk-related concepts effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Must have strong problem-solving and analytics skills; demonstrate poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of Network Security Best Practices

Preferred/Not Required

• Knowledge of Equipment and Solutions, such as HPE Aruba, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection, etc.
