Equipment Operator I - Deer Trail, CO Clean Harbors is seeking an Equipment Operator I to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift and/or track hoe within the field. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 an hour Responsibilities Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and always acting in a safe manner Operate backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift, and/or track hoe. Operate a forklift as necessary Complete daily checklists for proper operation of the unit being operated Assure unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner inconsistent with SOPs Complete and submit all associated paperwork for waste tracking movements Ensure all containers are properly secured, e.g., chock blocks, jack stands Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week Engage in site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials Qualifications Ability to work in a team environment Previous experience operating backhoe, heavy duty crane, heavy duty forklift and/or track hoe Perform physical functions per job requirements Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, if required Meet OSHA Respiratory Protection facial hair standards for respirator use Preferred: Experience in Hazmat operations Benefits Health and Safety priority, with 3-6-5 schedule Focus on sustainability and cleaning the Earth Recruiting Pay range Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment, including 401(k) with company match Employee Stock Purchase Plan Opportunities for growth and development at all stages of career Company paid training and tuition reimbursement Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
