Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I (Manheim)

Company: Cox Automotive Job Family Group: Vehicle Operations Job Title: Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist I Management Level: Individual Contributor – Flexible Work Option (no remote, must work onsite) Compensation Hourly base pay rate: $15.10 – $22.69/hour (may vary by location and qualifications). Position may be eligible for additional compensation including commission and incentive programs. Work Shift Wednesday – Friday: 11:30am – 10pm Saturday: 8:30am – 7pm Job Responsibilities Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 system using a handheld computer (Portable Terminal – PT) or provide data via headset to a co‑worker for each vehicle received at the auction. Record Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), Stock number, Dealer identification number, Make, model, year, mileage, color, options, etc. Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received. Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry. Flag “no key” cars. Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Take a digital image of each vehicle upon receipt. Provide the correct sale identification windshield code to the person driving the vehicle through the registration/check‑in area. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the related behaviors. Work in cooperation with safety leadership to support all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including assisting on sale days by driving vehicles through auction sales lanes. May be required to work overtime (over 40 hours) as business needs dictate. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Less than 2 years of related experience. Safe driver with a valid driver’s license; ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. Basic computer skills required. Regular stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear; frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb. Ability to lift 1–15 pounds. Vision: close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Preferred: 1–3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience. Work Environment Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions; moderate noise level. Drug Testing Applicants must pass a pre‑employment drug test. A drug‑free workplace is required; possession, use, or influence of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
