Step into a direct-hire leadership role in Columbus, Indiana as the senior go-to for electrical and automation systems across a modern manufacturing facility. You’ll guide technicians, keep critical equipment online, and elevate our controls and robotics footprint.

A Day in the Life (1st Shift)

Start at 6:30am with a quick handoff from night support, prioritize the production line’s needs, and assign troubleshooting tasks to the team. By mid-morning you’re deep into diagnosing a PLC fault, reviewing a wiring schematic, or tuning a VFD. Afternoons are for preventive maintenance rounds, documenting work, and planning small upgrades—wrapping up at 2:45pm with everything ready for the next shift.

What You’ll Own

Lead and mentor maintenance technicians on electrical and automation troubleshooting.
Diagnose, repair, maintain, and improve plant electrical systems and controls.
Work hands-on with PLCs/programmable controllers, VFDs, PWM drives, servo motors, and related components.
Resolve issues spanning electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Execute preventive maintenance on manufacturing assets to reduce unplanned downtime.
Install, modify, adjust, and repair electrical components and control circuits.
Troubleshoot Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, and other automation platforms.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs to support production.
Champion safety procedures and proactively report hazards.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, PMs, and improvement activities.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30am–2:45pm

What You Bring

4+ years in industrial maintenance, electrical maintenance, or automation; OR an associate degree/technical certification in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Maintenance Electrician, Mechatronics, or a related field.
At least 2 years in a leadership capacity (lead, supervisor, team lead) within manufacturing.
Fluency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Proven electrical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems preferred.
Exposure to Fanuc and/or Motoman robotics preferred.
Working knowledge across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
