Outpatient Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Hybrid schedule

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and a strong background in mental health counseling. This role involves providing therapeutic support to clients in various settings, including inpatient care, and utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques to promote mental well-being. Duties

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct support through individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as grief, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in their personal development and therapeutic journey.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions to foster peer support and shared experiences among clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients with developmental disabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on best practices in clinical counseling and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; licensure is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong background in mental health counseling, including inpatient experience.
• Familiarity with grief counseling techniques and PTSD care is a plus.
• Proficient in conducting diagnostic evaluations and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence in managing client cases.
