Part-Time High School Art Teacher

Visual Arts Teacher

Responsible for developing students' creative expression, aesthetic understanding, and visual arts techniques in alignment with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging visual arts lessons that meet state standards for grades 9–12.
• Skill Development: Teach diverse techniques (e.g., drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture) and art history.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, orderly, and well-equipped studio environment while adhering to district discipline policies.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate and document student progress through projects, critiques, and exams.
• Exhibitions & Community: Organize and display student artwork in school exhibitions, community galleries, or district-wide events.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Certification: A valid Texas Teacher Certificate (specifically the Art EC-12 certification).
• Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of art history, design, studio safety, and strong classroom management abilities

Salary commensurate with years of service and qualifications
