Join Our Dynamic ICU Team - Night Shift Opportunity Awaits!

Job Description:


- Unit: Intensive Care Unit
- Location: Nampa Hospital Floor 1
- Bed Capacity: 10 Beds
- Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2


- Shift Details:
- 12-Hour Night Shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Weekends as needed
- First to float


- Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)


- Common Diagnoses & Patient Types:
- Heart Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- Sepsis
- Ventilated Patients
- GI Bleeds
- Strokes (TPA, Post-codes)
- Post-surgical Complications
- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) - Travelers will not take


- Must-Have Skills:
- 1 Year of Experience
- Open to First-Time Travelers
- Excellent Team Player


- Responsibilities:
- Titrating IV Drips (e.g., Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, Diltiazem)


- Support Structure:
- Charge Nurse does not take patients
- Administrative Support on site 24/7
- Crisis Nurse available 24/7
- Hospitalist on-site 24/7, Intensivist via Telehealth 24/7
- Respiratory Therapists in ICU 24/7


- Additional Information:
- Patient Care Tech/CNA: 1 per shift
- No Telemetry Techs; RNs read strips (Spacelabs)
- Orientation: 1 to 2 shifts depending on experience


- Dress Code:
- Any clean and professional color


- Floating Requirements:
- Will float to Telemetry, with a goal of maintaining a 1:3 ratio, full assignments may apply
- Possible floating to Meridian and Boise ICUs
