Control States Sales Specialist Location: Raleigh, NC, US, 27615 Summary: RNDC is looking for a talented and energetic sales specialist to join our control states division. This role is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and/or a specific supplier, accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base. The role owns a record of sales achievement alongside a minimum of six or more years of experience and training, and possesses an advanced knowledge of company and competitor policies, products and/or services or technology. Responsibilities: Demonstrate expertise in principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling specialized wine, vintage, luxury, and/or specific supplier brands. Implement marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Manage special events such as Wine Marker Dinners, supplier market visits, and wine/spirit education to customers. Manage pre-sells and vintage sensitive projects/programs. Develop and present sales and product presentations to customers. Train and/or educate sales staff on all facets of wine knowledge; coach and mentor less experienced representatives. Conduct training sessions and monitor adherence to brand standards; provide two training events annually. Develop long‑term sales plans for key customers and monitor and adapt sales activities. Work with marketing on pricing programs for non‑mainstream items to remain competitive. Solicit business by personally visiting customers, presenting product features and benefits. Familiarise accounts with new products and developments; prepare price quotations, delivery dates and service obligations. Provide customer service, assess needs, meet quality standards, evaluate satisfaction, and resolve complaints per company policy. Influence full‑book resources for district managers and representatives to amplify brands; provide execution guidelines and communicate opportunities. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required). Six or more years of sales experience in wine and/or spirits, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Above‑average knowledge of wine and/or spirits. Current state driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements. ABC License or Permit as required by the state.
