Registered Nurse Supervisor

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, you will help create a safe and supportive setting for the residents who rely on skilled care. This role allows you to use your clinical knowledge while leading a team that strives for excellence. You will guide important health care decisions and help maintain a respectful and efficient work environment. Your leadership strengthens the well‑being of both residents and staff. This position focuses on overseeing nursing services and ensuring safe, complete care for residents in the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Veterans Home. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties: Health Services Leadership: Plan and evaluate daily care and treatment activities for residents Staff Supervision: Guide and assess nursing personnel in their assigned tasks and responsibilities Documentation Review: Monitor records, assessments and care plans for accuracy and timely updates Safety Oversight: Identify hazards and take corrective actions to protect residents and staff Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work with managers, families and support teams to ensure quality care Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, working every other weekend, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability. Special Requirements This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Other Requirements PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
