Job Summary: The Quality Technician ensures that all in-process and completed products meet production drawing specifications and quality standards. This role performs precision inspections, maintains calibrated equipment, and supports quality issue resolution across the production floor. The Quality Technician also provides technical guidance and training to team members to uphold consistent quality practices. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Inspect in-process and completed products according to production drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints. Calibrate, maintain, and operate mechanical precision inspection devices. Lead and support the resolution of quality issues. Provide technical knowledge, leadership, and training to team members. Perform layout inspections on metal fabricated components and assemblies. Document inspection results and communicate findings clearly. Required Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in blueprint reading. Ability to calibrate and use precision inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). Ability to visually inspect a final product for delivery to internal and external customers. Strong math skills for measurement, tolerance analysis, and calibration. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 3–5 years of quality assurance experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Qualifications and Experience: ASQ certification (helpful but not required). Welding and machining background a plus Self-directed with strong project completion skills and minimal supervision. Team-oriented and receptive to change and cross-functional training. Effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the production floor. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Comfortable working around machinery, tools, and fabrication equipment.
