Apply today and become part of a team that values your dedication, supports your growth, and celebrates your success.Responsibilities As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (CNA-I) at Lorien Columbia, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, resident-centered care that promotes comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will deliver hands-on support to residents while helping create a safe, caring, and positive environment. In this role, you will: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Provide compassionate personal care while preserving resident dignity and independence. Support resident safety, comfort, and overall well-being. Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team. Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range-of-motion activities. Help residents during meals and encourage appropriate nutrition and hydration. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Foster meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members. Follow all infection prevention, safety, and resident care protocols. Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional care. QualificationsStatus: FT, PT or PRN Shift: Day, Evening, Night License: Active Maryland GNA (CNA-I) license Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation. Located in the heart of Howard County, MD, Lorien Columbia is proud to be the flagship location of Lorien Health Services and has been serving the community since 1977. Our facility offers a full range of services, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy, and is home to the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County.
