The Valencia at Draper is a locally owned assisted living and memory care facility. We are looking for an activities assistant who has a passion for working with seniors, is a quick learner, and has top notch customer service skills. Schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9-5pm. Occasionally weekends and evenings are required for community events. TRT Preffered Position Summary: Assists Activities Director in coordinating and planning activities for residents by performing the following dutiesDepartment: ActivitiesReports To: Activities Director Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and/or Experience: · High School Diploma or GED Language Skills: · Ability to read, write and understand English.· Employee must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to resident, family member and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: · Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: · Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Computer Skills: · To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:· First Aid Certification.· CPR Certification.· Food Handlers Permit.· Valid Driver's License in good standing. Other Skills and Abilities:· Skill with elderly people.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.
