Maintenance Technician

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Summary

This entry-level maintenance technician role develops troubleshooting and repair skills under the guidance of senior technicians. It is intended to prepare the employee for progression into a Maintenance Technician II or III position and is not designed for long-term placement.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance activities.

Complete basic to intermediate mechanical repairs and component replacements.

Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Learn electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and maintenance procedures.

Maintain equipment records and complete work orders utilizing computerized maintenance management systems.

Support equipment installations and modifications.

Work alongside Maintenance Technician II and III personnel during troubleshooting activities.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by following all applicable safety procedures.

Maintain quality by adhering to specified programs, procedures, and requirements.

Attend and successfully complete training sessions provided by the Company and/or various vendors to increase knowledge in particular areas and for specific equipment.

Collaborate with support areas to resolve issues and improve facility operations.

Foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. A technical degree is preferred at the time of hire.

Continued eligibility for the position requires completion of a technical degree within four calendar years of placement. Failure to meet this requirement will result in loss of the position.

Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude testing is required.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required.

Willingness to work nonstandard shifts and weekends as needed.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.

Ability to lift, move, and manipulate items weighing up to 55 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.

Electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic certifications.

Prior hands-on experience working on CNC equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders with a preference toward Okuma, Haas, and Doosan machines.

Highly self-sufficient and motivated to solve problems, address root causes effectively, and drive improvement across multiple areas.

Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.

Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.

The employee will also be required to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and crawl for extended periods to maintain the facility's operational standards.
