Job Summary – L&D Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Pacific Campus (Pavilion for Women and Children, Level II NICU)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery; experience in facilities with 100-200+ deliveries preferred
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Weekend Shifts: Required
- Floating: Required (to Postpartum unit)
- Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Call Requirement: None
- Local Candidates: Not accepted
- RTO (Requested Time Off) Restrictions: Must be submitted up front
- Guaranteed Hours: May be called off for one 12-hour shift per 2-week period
- Unit Details:
- High risk perinatal care
- 19 Labor & Delivery beds
- 10 Antepartum beds
- 30 Postpartum beds
- 3 Operating Rooms (OR)
- 2 Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU)
- 7-bay triage
- Staffing ratios: 1:1 in labor, 1:3 in postpartum (with CNA support), 1:2-3 in antepartum
- Triage: 3 skilled RNs/shift
- Surgical Techs: 2 days/2 nights per shift
- CNAs: 3 per shift in Postpartum
- 3-4 Delivering providers 24/7, 2 CRNAs 24/7, 2 Health Unit Coordinators 24/7
- Facility Information:
- Level II Trauma Center
- 571 staffed beds (both campuses)
- Scrub color: Any (except reddish orange)
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking: Facility paid
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced L&D RN with strong perinatal care background, able to work weekends and float to postpartum, holds required certifications, and comfortable in high-volume, high-acuity maternity settings.
