THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Chocolate Production Supervisor to lead the people, processes and equipment responsible for producing our specialty chocolate products. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on creating an organized, efficient and positive production environment in which team members can perform at their best and continue to grow. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing daily chocolate production to ensure that products are produced safely, efficiently, consistently and on schedule while maintaining high standards of food safety, workplace safety and quality. The ideal candidate combines strong chocolate-production experience, culinary knowledge, people leadership and technical familiarity with automated chocolate-production machinery. This is a full-time, on-site position . Remote work is not available. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Supervision & Development: Supervise and support production teams across all stages of chocolate manufacturing. Provide direction, coaching and constructive feedback; identify opportunities for individual growth; and foster a respectful, collaborative and fulfilling workplace. Production Planning & Organization: Coordinate daily production activities, priorities, staffing and workflow to ensure products are produced efficiently, consistently and on schedule. Plan production based on customer requirements, production capacity and available inventory. Chocolate Production: Oversee teams who are responsible for cooking, tempering, molding, enrobing, decorating, customizing and other chocolate-production processes. Ensure established procedures and quality standards are consistently followed. Automated Equipment & Production Machinery: Operate, monitor and understand automated and semi-automated chocolate-production equipment. Ensure machinery is properly set up, adjusted and operated to achieve consistent product quality and production efficiency. Production Excellence: Drive consistent quality, efficiency and attention to detail throughout the production process. Identify problems, address root causes and implement improvements that strengthen production performance and product consistency. Production Efficiency: Configure production teams, equipment and workflows in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Identify opportunities to increase productivity, reduce waste and minimize production costs while maintaining quality and food-safety standards. Continuous Improvement: Create and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the production environment. Encourage team members to identify opportunities, solve problems, improve processes and continually raise standards of quality, efficiency and teamwork. Food Safety & Workplace Safety: Ensure that food-safety procedures, sanitation requirements and safe working practices are consistently followed throughout the production environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety programs, systems and standards.

CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of experience working in a chocolate production facility, with substantial hands-on experience in commercial chocolate manufacturing. Supervisory or team-leadership experience in a chocolate or food-production environment, with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop production employees. Culinary education or formal culinary training, with a strong understanding of food preparation, ingredients, techniques and product development. Hands-on knowledge of chocolate-production processes including cooking, tempering, molding, enrobing, decorating and other confectionery processes. Experience working with automated and semi-automated chocolate-production machinery, including the ability to operate, monitor, adjust and troubleshoot production equipment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple production activities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate people, provide constructive feedback and build strong working relationships. A genuine interest in developing team members and helping each person reach their potential. Strong commitment to production excellence, consistency, quality and efficiency. Understanding of food-safety principles and experience maintaining high standards in a food-production environment. Ability to identify production problems, determine root causes and implement practical solutions.
