Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: 2 years ER/ICU experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency room. Candidates will rotate between day, evening, and night shifts. They will be scheduled and/or floated to the ICU as needed. The facility serves a high volume of patients annually. It is designated as an acute stroke-ready and Level 3 trauma facility. The emergency room has 10 beds, while the ICU has 4 beds. The patient population ranges from newborns to individuals aged 101. The unit engages in various critical care procedures. Transferring patients for certain interventions occurs as necessary. Nurses are expected to handle a range of emergency situations. The position requires certification in multiple areas, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
