In this role, you’ll work five days per week, starting around 8am, supporting a caseload of just two students with some additional outside tutoring. You’ll design individualized lesson plans, guide 1:1 support staff in delivering these plans, and maintain clear communication with IEP teams to ensure student progress. The school operates on a year-round calendar, running through July and resuming in August.

To be considered, you’ll need:

• Current licensure: either ECGC or ECAC
• Previous experience teaching special education or strong student teaching experience
• Skill in creating and adapting individualized lesson plans
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities, especially with IEP teams
• Comfort working one-on-one with students in elementary and high school grades

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and adjust lesson plans tailored to each student
• Support and train 1:1 aides in delivering instructional plans
• Collaborate with district IEP teams for student progress and compliance
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication related to student goals and milestones
• Provide tutoring as needed, adapting instruction to student needs
