Beverage Bartender

Bartender PositionThe Bartender is responsible for positive guest interactions, as well as the ability to mix and serve beverages to guests in a high-paced environment. At all times, bartenders are expected to pay close attention to our guests needs and make them feel welcome, relaxed and comfortable. Must obtain a Tips Certification.Essential Functions:Greet guests, take beverage orders directly from guests.Checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.Mixes drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered.Ensures that the assigned bar is neatly kept and fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.Maintains a clean and sanitary environment.Restocks and replenishes bar inventory and supplies.Complies with all food and beverage regulations.Processes guests' bills, handle money and transactions in a cash register.Enforces rules and regulations to limit problems and liability.Develops an efficient work pace that keeps the guests at the bar and dining room satisfied at all times.Keeps bottles organized, and wash glasses as needed.Understands the local identification and drinking age laws in order to prevent problems.Manages the intake of each guest to prevent over intoxication and drinking and driving.Performs other tasks as assigned.Core Competencies:Demonstrates consistent regard and dedication to guests, vendors, colleagues and the Company by being engaged, interested and productiveDemonstrates a working knowledge of our marketplace; actively and collaboratively assists in building the best practices necessary for the Company's successDemonstrates an understanding of the impact actions and decisions have on the Company both financially and on guest relationsDemonstrates the courage and initiative to present new ideas and perspective to create positive resultsExhibits respectful consideration of viewpoints, situations and othersPuts the guest at the forefront of every decisionEssential Requirements:Strong interpersonal and communication skills requiredStrong organizational skills and attention to detail requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge in all applicable rules and regulationsKnowledge/Work Experience:Must be 21 years or olderHigh school diploma or G.E.D preferredOne (1) year experience in customer service and bartending in a high-volume establishment preferredABC licenseMust have a NYS Food Handlers PermitEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
