Job Description: This full-time Service Electrician role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will work with electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting, using your field experience to troubleshoot issues, ensure compliance with electrical codes, and deliver high-quality service to a diverse range of facilities. The position offers long-term stability, exposure to high-profile projects, and the opportunity to grow your skills in a variety of complex settings. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with 8–9 hour workdays starting between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Essential Skills

• Electrical field experience in commercial and industrial environments.
• Experience in commercial construction and service work, including field technician responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and power distribution in commercial and industrial settings.
• Ability to bend conduit and pipe and perform conduit installations to a high standard.
• Ability to install electrical cables, wiring, and lighting systems safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of state and local building regulations and the National Electrical Code.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and diagnostic methods.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients, architects, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.

Work Environment: The work primarily takes place in commercial and industrial environments with a wide variety of project types. Commercial projects include renovations, retrofits, additions, and new construction in facilities such as churches, colleges, cell phone and cable sites, nursing homes, warehouses, retail stores, medical facilities, schools, and restaurants. Industrial work involves research laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, manufacturing plants, and other heavy-duty settings where precision and safety are critical. Many industrial projects include explosion-proof environments and rigid conduit systems, requiring careful adherence to safety practices and codes. The role is field-based and hands-on, often involving the use of scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and other standard electrical trade equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Doylestown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
