Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Eaton, OH, 45320 Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer (SQ Engineer) to join our team in Eaton, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of components and materials supplied by our vendors, driving continuous improvement, and supporting supplier development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance through audits, assessments, and data analysis. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain supplier quality standards and documentation. Support new product launches by qualifying suppliers and ensuring compliance with quality requirements. Work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to drive supplier quality improvements. Analyze supplier data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Participate in supplier development programs to enhance supplier capabilities and performance. Required Skills And Qualifications Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of supplier quality management systems and methodologies. Ability to conduct supplier audits and assessments effectively. Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and PPAP. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
