Job Summary Under the medical supervision of an Anesthesiologist, administers general and regional anesthesia for diverse surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures, caring for patients across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include airway management, fluid balance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management. Upholds organizational policies, legal requirements, and standards such as TJC and Title 22. Evaluates patients pre-operatively, reviews charts, and collaborates with anesthesiologists to select appropriate anesthesia. Monitors intraoperative and postoperative patient conditions, ensuring stability and safety. Prepares and administers anesthesia, checks equipment, and maintains supplies and controlled substances. Provides education and supervision to student nurse anesthetists and maintains professional relationships. Performs other duties within scope of licensure as needed. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in California and certified as a Nurse Anesthetist. Certified by the National Certification and licensed to practice in California. Skills in anesthesia for major procedures, extensive monitoring, and patient management across age groups. Knowledge of equipment, charting, documentation, and staff development. Required certifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Preferred Qualifications AHA PALS certification is desirable. Experience in complex anesthesia procedures and travel within the service area may be preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
