Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 12-Week Assignment | 3 shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Days will vary | Projected Start: November 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide shift-level accountability for nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care; some on-call may be required

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; local candidates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in high-acuity or fast-paced Labor & Delivery settings
• Familiarity with alternative work schedules (AWS) in a hospital environment
• Strong leadership and team communication skills in an obstetrical care setting
