Embedded Engineer

Salary: $92,000 - 132,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech); 8–10 years of experience.
• Strong embedded C++ proficiency (C++11/14/17), including const correctness, RAII, templates, and STL use in constrained environments.
• Strong Python scripting skills, including pytest or unittest, argparse, asyncio or threads, serial communication, and data analysis with NumPy or pandas.
• Working experience with Perl for legacy automation, parsing, tooling, and infrastructure scripts; familiarity with CPAN and migrating legacy Perl scripts to Python where appropriate.
• Experience with microcontrollers such as ARM Cortex-M/R/A or Embedded Linux, including Yocto or Buildroot, device trees, and system-level development.
• Familiarity with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Zephyr, and interrupt-driven design.
• Hands-on experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, and TCP/IP.
• Experience with Yocto, CMake toolchain files, and containerized toolchains such as Docker.
• Knowledge of power management, low-power modes, and battery-operated devices.
• Experience profiling performance and analyzing memory on embedded targets using tools such as perf, gprof, Valgrind, or ETM/ITM.
• Additional relevant experience may include wireless stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee), edge AI, DSP, board bring-up, BSP customization, U-Boot, secure boot, OTA updates, and standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 62304, or MISRA C/C++.

• Develop, integrate, test, and maintain broadband, video, and IoT solutions for RDK-based devices, including set-top boxes, gateways, and routers.
