In this role, you will assess and develop personalized treatment plans to improve residents’ functional abilities and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify residents' needs and strengths. Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans tailored to each resident’s unique circumstances. Deliver therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, sensory processing, mobility, and adaptive functioning. Recommend, evaluate, and train residents and staff in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications to promote independence. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and support staff to coordinate care. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to support comprehensive resident care plans. Monitor and document resident progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed. Provide training and consultation to caregivers and support staff on therapeutic techniques and best practices. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical interventions, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Support residents in achieving their highest possible level of independence and community engagement. Qualifications & Requirements: Valid Occupational Therapist license for the State of Texas, with proof of ongoing Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Current CPR certification. Malpractice and liability insurance (if applicable). Minimum of two years of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to care. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
