Respiratory Therapist New Graduate

Position Details Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO Department: Respiratory Care Main FTE: Full Time, 0.9 Hours: 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Night Pay: $31.61 – $47.41 per hour (dependent on experience) Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Respiratory Therapist-Colorado license. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross; card in hand before start date and valid for 60 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) obtained within one year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within one year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit. Responsibilities Provide top-scope practice in direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care. Value and effectively partner with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes. Prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare providers and/or UCHealth staff. Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care. New graduate Respiratory Therapists participate in a mentoring program that increases competency and proficiency at the point of care.
