Responsibilities Intake Nurse - PRN/Per Diem Night Shift Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Intake RN is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry/referral calls, coordination of all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The Intake RN duties include triaging patients, completing assessments for the assisting physician to identify an appropriate level of care for potential patients, effectively staffing clinical duties, entering calls and admissions in computer systems and completing nursing admission paperwork with patients. This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. The Intake RN also, at times, is responsible for the verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed. Qualifications Job Requirements: Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges. Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Must have or be able to attain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
