Role: Release Engineer Type: 12 Months Contract Fully Remote

Job Description & Roles and Responsibilities:

The engineer works with developers, architects, and DevOps to assist with the deployment of code and creation of releases. The engineer will also work with various contacts to validate environment stability and to troubleshoot any issues. The engineer will run release windows and coordinate with other Release Engineers to ensure quality deployments / releases. The engineer will run various improvement efforts:

• Utilize the Azure Devops to create and approve code release
• Work with various contacts (Developers, Architects, and Devops) to merge code and create releases
• Manage and coordinate deployment windows
• Coordinate troubleshooting of environment and deployment issues
• Ensure that Release Management standards are being followed
• Work with the team in suggesting/implementing new continuous improvement ideas
• Assist with security / compliance issues
• Coordinate scheduling of release windows
• Run various daily meetings (Standup etc.)
• Coordinate the creation and updates to release documentation
• Train and help onboard new release engineers

Qualification:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• AZ-400 or ability to obtain the AZ-400 certification within a year after starting.
• Experience working with SDLC practices including SCRUM and Agile.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE).
• Experience with Azure Devops or a similar team development tool including project customization.
• Experience troubleshooting complex software applications.
• Ability to run a troubleshooting session / war room.
• Experience working with Azure based hosting / development.
• Experience working with best practices in Software security.
• Experience with Development languages (C# or React).
• Experience with SQL Databases.
