Sr. Solution Architect

Job Summary Supermicro is looking for a Solution Architect to grow and expand the business opportunities of in‑house storage solutions from a technical perspective. Your goal is to engage, develop, and expand our customer portfolio in the storage system solutions. In this role, you will represent Supermicro at major trade shows and conferences to network with clients and develop opportunity pipelines, while participating in product and solution design to ensure new products meet customer expectations and requirements. This role is based at the headquarters in San Jose, CA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Drive the definition, planning, and feature prioritization for BIOS, BMC software, and open source on motherboard and system products. Support and grow relations with enterprise customers through technical presentations and drive features around BIOS, BMC, and dependent firmware and software. Co‑work with peer HW product management teams, designers, and other development teams to define our product strategy around remote management. Work across different HW, firmware, and software departments/groups to identify and resolve technical issues. Establish and manage a schedule of activities, milestones, and deliverables for our products and monitor progress across the groups responsible for the feature area. Work with sales and marketing to develop and maintain customer/partner product promotion programs. Evangelize and collaborate with third‑party developers, partners, and customers in developing software, acting as the primary point of contact. Perform other tasks as needed within the business. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Engineering (EE, CS, or CE) or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 10 years of experience in computer firmware and software development or management, or other similar technical positions. At least 5 years of experience in product management and technical product management. Demonstrated experience managing support questions around BIOS. Strong technical comprehension of software around hardware security and industry standard management specifications. Experience in development of software processes. Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to manage relations with peers across functional teams. Ability to multi‑task across disparate projects and timelines. Strong technical, people, and organizational skills. Comfortable with architecting solutions alongside Fellows and architects from Tier 1 organizations worldwide. Experience contributing to industry standards bodies such as DMTF and influencing decisions on behalf of Supermicro is a nice attribute.
