We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to take ownership of key financial processes and contribute to the continued growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other account reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities as needed.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and applicable accounting regulations.
- Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and other external reporting requirements.
- Develop and improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and other departments to support business objectives.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting-related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
- Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
