HVAC Controls Project Manager

Job Description

Manage HVAC controls/building automation projects from kickoff through completion

Oversee project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration

Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery

Support projects involving air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, control panels, and controls wiring

Conduct jobsite visits, track project progress, and resolve project-related issues

Prepare monthly billings, cost tracking, and project status updates

Provide project oversight and coordination for field technicians (no direct reports)

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of Project Management experience in HVAC Controls, BAS/BMS, or Mechanical Construction

Experience managing RFIs, change orders, scheduling, and subcontractors

Strong customer-facing and project coordination skills

Knowledge of HVAC equipment and controls systems Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field

Background working for major controls and automation contractors

Tridium Niagara Certified

Experience supporting projects requiring AABC standards and coordination
