Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant manages day-to-day accounting activities related to business operations and assists in month-end close, as well as supports the support services manager with staff workpaper review and other ad hoc requests. You'll find a community committed to helping you succeed.From mentorship and career development to clinical collaboration and leadership opportunities, we are committed to helping our people grow personally and professionally.If you're looking for an organization where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work makes a meaningful difference, we'd love to meet you!Essential FunctionsPerform basic accounting functions, such as: general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Assists the Support Services manager with review of staff work and any ad hoc requests such as additional analyses for the finance or operations teams.Assists the accounting team in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced start-up healthcare environmentPerforms regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budgetPerforms bank reconciliations and assists in month end close and fixed assets trackingMaintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesPerforms basic data analysis to report recent and historical financial performanceAssists in the planning and implementation of various business processes in order to improve and support business processes and activities.RequirementsBachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting or FinancePreferred Skills2+ years of public accounting experienceProficiency with standard office software applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office ®)Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with General Ledger (GL) /Accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus)Strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to use technology to collect, manipulate data, determine significant findings, and present information clearlyAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects while maintaining accountability under strict deadlineSpecialized Dental Partners, its affiliates, related companies and independently owned supported clinical practices are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers.
