Case Mix: Emergency medicine cases in a critical access facility setting
Trauma Level: Critical Access Facility
Office Equipment Available: Standard emergency department equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Supervising physician required
Support Staff Available: Emergency department clinical team
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Compensation & Benefits: Rate: TBD; Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
Required Procedures: Broad emergency medicine procedures appropriate for critical access setting
Job Requirements: Licenses: Active AR NP or PA license required; Board: AANP/ANCC (NP) or NCCPA (PA) required; DEA: Required with AR address; Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS; Experience: Prior emergency medicine experience required; Other Qualifications: Supervising physician required; documentation of case logs and CME/CEU history
Duties & Responsibilities: Provide emergency medical care in critical access setting; Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute conditions; Perform emergency procedures as needed; Collaborate with supervising physician and ED team; Maintain accurate clinical documentation
