Nephrology NurseProvide expert nursing care to Nephrology patients in the outpatient clinics. Provide telephone triage, patient teaching, direct patient care including injections, documentation with follow-up and coordination with ancillary services and related departments. Provide functional supervision to allied health staff. Assist with patient flow as necessary and appropriate. Work with licensed providers to develop and carry out clinical standards of care for various patient diagnoses. Participate as a professional member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. Teach patients and families pertinent information regarding the patient condition and treatment plans. Coordinate infusion therapies. Assist in orientation of team members as appropriate, including observation and participation of patient care activities. Actively participate and support performance improvement activities related to self, clinic, department, and institutional goals and objectives.
