Senior Software Engineer - Simulation and Virtualization

Overview NVIDIA data center systems, such as DGX and HGX, are core to NVIDIA's rapidly growing enterprise and cloud provider businesses. These platforms combine NVIDIA GPUs, NVLink, InfiniBand networking, Grace CPUs, and an optimized AI and HPC software stack. We are hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to build simulators for our DGX Server platforms, a key part of developing scalable systems at the Speed of Light. Responsibilities Architect and develop a simulation platform for next‑generation NVIDIA DGX platforms. Build, integrate, and enhance simulator components with new hardware features and write supporting technical documentation. Bring the full software stack up on the DGX Simulator, collaborating closely with hardware modeling, kernel, and platform driver teams distributed globally. Improve performance, fix bugs across the user and kernel stack, and automate execution flow. Qualifications Proficient in C/C++ with strong software development, optimization, and user/kernal‑mode debugging skills. Solid understanding of OS fundamentals and system architecture, including low‑level interfaces such as buses, controllers, interrupts, etc. Experience with hypervisors and hardware emulators such as QEMU, KVM, VDK, Simics, etc. Working experience on a major Linux distribution (e.g., Ubuntu, RedHat, SLES). Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with a globally distributed engineering team. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience. Preferred Experience Experience in hardware and software stack bring‑up using simulators and emulators. Previous work on hardware interfaces such as PCIe, SPI, I 3 C, etc., with Linux boot solutions on x86 and ARM class platforms. Experience in out‑of‑band and in‑band management architectures. Contributions to QEMU/KVM open‑source repositories. Experience in Verilog and SystemC. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: level 3 – $152,000 to $241,500; level 4 – $184,000 to $287,500.
