About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients in direct primary recovery. Advanced skills needed: ACLS, Balloon pump, Impella training, Hemosphere or Acumen trained. Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This unit has a total of 4 beds and provides immediate post-surgical care. Patient ratios are 1:1 for immediate post-surgical patients and 1:2 for patients on post-operative days 1-3. The nursing approach is primary nursing. The documentation system used is Meditech Expanse. Staff must commit to working 36 hours per week, including three weekend shifts every four weeks. Floating policy dictates maintaining the same patient ratio as the unit floated to. This position involves working in a new cardiac surgery program launch. Dress code requires wearing navy blue scrubs. Ideal candidates should be aware of the unit's policies and guidelines.
