Additional Job Description WVU Medicine – United Hospital Center and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are recruiting a BC/BE physiatrist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) with training and interest in Musculoskeletal Medicine. The position is located in Bridgeport, WV. Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in education and research. Clinical and basic science research is encouraged and supported. Laboratory facilities are available. All faculty are required to take an active role in our integrated residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Electrodiagnostic procedures are available. Candidates will have special interest in interventional and non-interventional spine, pain management, musculoskeletal and/or sports medicine. Candidates with fellowship training in Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, or Cancer rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Duties Practice in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Provide excellent patient care. Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for state medical license. Completed physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program. Board certified/eligible in physical medicine and rehabilitation (must be met by time of appointment).
