We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join the team at CUT by Wolfgang Puck New York. The ideal candidate is technically strong in pastry arts, detail-oriented, and inspired by creating refined, high-quality desserts and baked goods in a fine dining environment.

Position Summary

As a Pastry Cook, you will play a key role in executing a sophisticated dessert program that reflects the restaurant's Michelin-level standards. The Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of all pastry and dessert items, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to CUT's elevated culinary standards. This role requires strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-performance kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all pastry and dessert items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Assist in the daily production of components including doughs, creams, sauces, and plated desserts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry station at all times
• Support the Pastry Chef in menu development, seasonal updates, and special event production
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all pastry ingredients (FIFO)
• Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service execution

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a pastry role within a high-volume or fine dining environment preferred
• Formal culinary or pastry training is a plus
• Strong foundational knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
• Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with precision under pressure
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A passion for hospitality, craftsmanship, and continuous learning

Pay: $22 - $25 / hour
