Construction Project Superintendent – Lead Commercial Design and Build Field Operations

Job Overview

• Company: Schnippel Construction, Inc. & Hayden Plumbing LLC
• Salary/Pay Rate: $70,000 - $110,000 / year all depending on qualifications & experience
• Location: Botkins, OH
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Project Scope: Commercial Hospitality Design/Build

The Opportunity

You will serve as the primary on-site leader managing total construction efforts for high-value commercial design and build projects. This role allows you to direct daily operations, mentor field teams, and oversee subcontractors for a multi-generational, family-owned business. You will have full operational autonomy to drive project execution while being fully supported like family.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Supervise total field construction efforts to ensure projects align with designs, budgets, and critical path schedules.
• Direct daily activities for subcontractors, vendors, and internal trades to maintain continuous project momentum.
• Perform primary quality control inspections and enforce full compliance with contracted scopes of work.
• Manage job site safety programs, identify environmental hazards, and document/correct non-compliance issues immediately.
• Facilitate seamless communications regarding ASIs, RFIs, material submittals, and local jurisdiction inspections.
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and resolve real-time technical construction conflicts on-site.
• Work side-by-side with field crews when needed to accomplish critical project milestones and maintain site standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of construction supervision experience managing commercial projects valued over $3 million.
• Strong technical background in commercial construction methods, scheduling, material control, and cost containment.
• Proven ability to interpret complex architectural drawings, structural specifications, and building codes.
• Excellent supervisory, organizational, and communication skills required to manage large trade teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Combination of formal technical training, trade apprenticeship, or related post-secondary education.
• Direct experience leading commercial hospitality design/build construction projects.
• Demonstrated history of successfully managing multi-trade field personnel and Assistant Superintendents.
