Real Estate AttorneyPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to provide pragmatic, high-quality legal counsel on a broad range of real estate matters. The attorney will support clients on acquisitions and dispositions, real estate financing and lending transactions, land development and zoning issues, leasing and transactional matters for residential and commercial properties, and closing processes helping clients mitigate risk and achieve their business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, development agreements, easements, and related real estate contracts.Conduct thorough title review and due diligence, identify risks, and recommend solutions to protect client interests.Advise clients on real estate financing and lending transactions, including mortgage and borrowing structures, workouts and related negotiations.Support and lead real estate acquisitions and dispositions, coordinating with brokers, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and other third parties.Counsel on land use, zoning, permitting and development matters, and coordinate with municipal authorities and outside consultants as needed.Manage and coordinate real estate closings, ensuring accurate documentation, timely signatures and compliance with closing conditions.Advise clients on commercial and residential real estate matters, including leasing, property management issues and landlord-tenant disputes.Handle dispute resolution and litigation support related to real estate claims, title issues, boundary disputes, and contract enforcement, in coordination with litigation counsel when required.Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients and internal teams, translating legal concepts into actionable business recommendations.Maintain accurate matter files, track deadlines, and ensure billing and administrative tasks are completed promptly.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) and active membership in good standing with the state bar.3+ years of experience practicing real estate law; experience across commercial and residential matters preferred.Proven experience with real estate financing, lending documents, loan closings and borrower/lender representation.Experience in real estate acquisition, dispositions, land development, and zoning/permitting matters.Strong drafting, negotiation and due diligence skills with attention to detail.Familiarity with title work, surveys, easements, and related property matters.Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly to non-lawyers.Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines, work independently and as part of a team.Comfort working with lenders, brokers, developers, engineers, and other real estate professionals.Preferred: experience in commercial real estate transactions, familiarity with residential closings, and prior exposure to real estate litigation or dispute resolution.
